About the Author

Andy Hay - Author and Illustrator

Andy Hay has been creating whimsical worlds and lovable characters ever since he could hold a pencil. Inspired by the imaginative storytelling of Dr. Seuss, George Lucas, and Jim Henson, Andy combines playful rhymes with vibrant hand-drawn illustrations to bring his characters to life.

His debut children's book, Earl's Elastic, Stretchy Socks, was inspired by a simple mission: to make wearing socks fun for his ten nieces and nephews. That mission led to Earl, a fuzzy yellow monster with a big heart and an even bigger love for magical socks.

When he's not writing or drawing, Andy enjoys playing video games, strolling along the Hudson River, and spending time with his cat, Mouse.
